Sorrow, Like Pleasure, Creates its own Atmosphere for flute & Samplestra performed by Margaret Lancaster, Misfortune has its Uses for violin & Samplestra will have its New York Premiere by Peter Krysa and Gene will premiere Modified #2 for electric guitar & Samplestra.
-The Kirov Ballet will perform 3 Point Turn a piece Gene produced and created into an electronic track for solo percussion and electronics. The music is written by David Rozenblatt.

- The chamber/hip-hop opera Money was performed at the Etna Festival in Catania, Sicily. Gene is bringing the Sound Liberation Chamber Playas, B3+ and special guests to perform it.

- Gene co-curateed a concert series at the Players Theaters combining contemporary chamber music and modern plays in a series called Shortened Attention Span.

- Sound Liberation performed at The International Street Cannibals Live from the Holding Tank concert series at St. Marks Church. Music performed included SL Improvs, Quaaludes & Fugues, The Wedding and the premiere of Satire.
- Blues Head & 7 Solos premiered by the Manhattan Brass quintet, B3+ and Gene on guitar on Oct. 22nd at Middle Church.
- Universe Contains Innumerable Elements for violin and clarinet premiered in Kazan, Russia by Asia Meshberg and Phil Basher also Asya performed Shes So Chaconne for solo violin.

- 3 poems from Flowers of Evil on poetry of Baudelaire was premiered by The Absolute Ensemble, The Latvian State Choir and Gene as Di.J. at the 07 Bremen Music Festival. Also at this concert Gene’s orchestrations from the movie Perfume was be performed as well as an orchestration of a Debussy Prelude.

- Sound Liberation perform at the Outreach jazz festival in Schwaz Austria. Money I & II were performed as well as a set of hip-hop songs. Gene had 11 performances of his compositions at this festival. Including Electrically Tragic for bassoon & Samplestra performed by Martin Kuuskmann.

- On the 29th of May Gene presented his opera/theater pieces Money and Money II at the Players Theater. Among the performers were soprano Melanie Mitrano, The Sound Liberation Chamber Playas and the B3+ brass trio.
- April 07
- On April 15th Gene produced a concert in memory of his composition teacher Giampaolo Bracali. The concert was presented by the International Street Cannibals and was held at St. Marks Church at the Bowery. The concert consisted of music by students of Mr. Bracali as well as his own compositions. Two compositions by Gene: The Death of the Artist for soprano and guitar and In Memory of Giampaolo Bracali for solo cello were premiered.
- On April 24th The Death of the Artist for soprano and guitar and Quaaludes & Fugues for solo electric guitar were performed at The Turtle Bay Music School as part of a recital by guitarist Sean Satin

- On March 3rd The International Street Cannibals presented the 3rd concert in its Strike series at Gleasons gym. Mysterious Restlessness for clarinet and samplestra was performed by Mychio Suzuki and a premiere of Quaalude, Fugue & Solos for electric guitar, bass, and drums with Gene on guitar, Dan cooper on bass and David Rozenblatt on drums.

- On Feb. 20th the annual Composers Concordance concert Gene produces took place at the at the Cutting Room. The concert featured The Sweet Plantain String Quartet for whom 10 composers wrote 5 minuet pieces. Gene’s Credit System of Truth was performed at this event
- On Feb 21st the Lumina String Quartet with clarinetist Phil Basher premiered Conscious Fluids for electric guitar, clarinet and string quartet, with Gene on electric guitar at the Ferguson Library in Stamford, Ct.
- On Feb. 25th Noizepunk and BorisLove performed at St. Marks Church at the Bowery presented by The International Street Cannibals. |
- A 1 1/2 hour concerto for piano, bass, drums & orchestra called: The Three Stages of Truth, to be premiered by the Mad Fusion trio and conductor K. Jarvi.
- For the last 2 years Gene has had the privilege of working closely with the legendary Joe Zawinul before he passed away in September of 07. Gene has arranged/orchestrated Zawinul's music for the Absolute Ensemble which Premiered it in Bremen Germany in September 2006 and has performed it to great acclaim around the world. They also had the opportunity to record this music with Joe, his last recording, and the album will be released on Birdjam records in the upcoming years.

- Reality of the Unseen for sitar, viola damoure, violin, mandolin and orchestra premiered in Veracruz, Mexico on October 8th with Edmundo Ramirez and the Veracruz Youth Orchestra.
- The International Street Cannibals turned the world famous Gleasons gym in Brooklyn into a concert space and Genes Cauldron of Unsatisfied Hatred for electric guitar and trumpet was premiered, with Franz Hackel on trumpet and Gene on guitar
- The International Street Cannibals presented a concert at St. Marks Church at the Bowery
in June 06. Recon. for voice, cello, electric guiter, basss & Samplestra was performed as well as Mozart String Quartet #8 Revisited for trumpet, cello, electric guiter & bass.

- Dave Taylor premiered A 21st Century Reconstruction of J. S. Bach for bass trombone, contra bass ensemble and Samplestra in Manhattan School of Music on Feb. 14th as part of his recital.
- Sorrow like Pleasure Creates its own Atmosphere for flute & Samplestra, performed Jan. 24th, 2006 at the Knitting Factory by the Da Capo Chamber players with Patricia Spencer, flute.
- 3 Songs of Nostalgia premiered as part of the Golden Fleece composers series.
- Three performances of Poem #3 for clarinet and string quartet, performed by Lumina string quartet with P. Basher, clarinet. Including a performance on Feb. 12th at the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church music series.and on Feb. 19th at the Downtown Music concert series
- On Oct. 23rd Gene’s new chamber group; The International Street
Cannibals, which he started with cellist Dan Barrett, had their first
concert. What occurred in the Light goes on in the Dark
for solo cello was performed as well as an arrangement of a Bach Choral
for a mixed quintet.
- On Aug. 16th an all Pritsker concert at the Cutting Room in New York,
featuring his group Sound Liberation and the Sound Liberation Chamber
Playa’s. This concert included a premiere Sorrow like
Pleasure Creates its own Atmosphere for flute and Samplestra,
performed by Margaret Lancaster, who also performed the piece in Paris,
France at the 7 Lezards jazz club
- ‘Enchantments of Vanity’ for 3 trombones and electronics,
and ‘Benign Indifference’ for 3 trombones premiered at West
Virginia University on July 22nd by Dave Taylor, Haim Avitsur, and Nitzan
Haroz.
- A 45 minuet chamber opera; ‘De Maupassant’s Cheaters’
premiered (and performed six times) on May 12 2005 at the 14 street
Y as part of Golden Fleece’s Composers Chamber Theater 13th annual
commissioned production.
- ‘Poem #3’ for clarinet and string quartet premiered March
6th 2005 at Norwalk College by the Lumina string quartet with P. Basher,
clarinet. they have also performed the piece at SpringFling in Stamford,
Ct. on May 7th, ‘Falls to with an Appetite’ for the same
group was premiered at the Ferguson Library in Stamford, Ct. on Aug.
4, 2004, and the group has toured both pieces to The Republic of Kazan
in May 2005 performing at the International Festival of Modern Music
- ‘Poem #2’ for electric guitar & bass trombone premiered
Feb. 5th ‘05 at The Cutting Room, by Dave Taylor & G. Pritsker
as part of the Composers Concordance series. It was performed in its
trio version on March 23rd as part of ‘WILD EXTRAVAGANT UNIVERSE’
at Manhattan School of Music with an addition of Justin Dicioccio on
drums. On May 27th it was performed in its quartet version, with synth.
at the 2005 International Trombone Festival in New Orleans, LA.
- The string quartet Evolution premiered the first movement of ‘The
Credit System of Truth” at Barbes in Brooklyn on May 8th
- ’Suite #2’ for bassoon & pf. premiered Jan.’05
In Blaine Wa., M. Kusskman & M. HerskowitzTh duo performed the piece
in Sweden and Estonian, Summer ‘05.
- ‘Lost Illusions’ for bass, orchestra & samplestra.
Premiered on March 13th 04 at the Adelaide Festival in Australia by
the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Mat Fieldes, bass and Kristjan Jarvi
-conductor. The piece was also performed at the Bremen festival in Bremen,
Gremany in September ‘04 along with two other compositions and
six arrangments.
- The first movement of ‘Essentially Tragic’ for bassoon,
chamber orchestra & samplestra, and the 2nd and 3rd movements of
‘Not to be Able to Stand Solitude’ for violin, chamber orchestra
& samplestra were premiered on April 20, 2004 in Stanser Musikstage
festival in Stans, Switzerland by the Absolute Ensemble along with five
other compositions.
- Pianist Kathy Supove premiered ‘Brittle Chains of hope’
for piano and Samplestra on March 30th 2004 at Roulette
- ‘Falls to with an appetite’ was permiered by the Lumina
string quartet with P. Basher, clarinet. at the Ferguson Library in
Stamford, Ct. in Aug. ‘04
- ’Pan(ic)’ for solo flute permiered on Feb. 12th at the
Greenwich House
- ‘Junk’ for electronics performed extensively as part of
60X60 project.
- ‘Misfortune has its Uses’ for solo violin and samplestra
premiered Nov. 20th 2004 by Peter Krysa at E. Pickman recital hall Komitas
Music School, Boston
- ‘Poem’ for bass clarinet, cello and electric guitar was
premiered on June 15th at the actors institute
- ‘Benign/Malignant’ was premiered by the New York Mandolin
Orchestra Dan Barret; conductor.
- An orchestral arrangement of Black Sabbath’s ‘Paranoid’
‘was performed by the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra at BAM and
by the Norrlands Opera Orchestra in Sweden.
- The Norrlands Orchestra premiered three orchestrations of Frank Zappa
songs.
- On March 8, 2004 the Absolute Ensemble premiered 10 orchestrations
of Frank Zappas music in Adelaide Australia, the Ensemble Played these
at the Barbican in London on April 1st and will continue to perfrom
them in other venues around the world.

percussion quartet,
"I'm Afraid You Might ask for A Fragment Of
My Soul’ for solo piano was performed in venues from South
Africa to Amsterdam and has been released on CD by pianist Guy Livingston
entitled: “Don’t Panic” on Wergo Records.

’Cries and Execrations of the Mob’ was
performed by violinist Miltos Papastamou with the Athens Camarata
Chamber Orchestra.

A new chamber opera: ‘Nietzsche The Madman’,
was produced at Theater 22.

The septet ‘Fix II’ and two arrangements
of James Browns’ ‘Super Bad’ have been performed
around America and recorded for National Public Radio by the Absolute
Ensemble.

The ensemble also premiered a new and strange arrangement
of ‘NY, NY’

Mr. Pritsker and his eclectic hip-hop band Sound
Liberation have recorded a CD and toured Newfoundland, Canada as
well as performed all over New York in such clubs as Knitting Factory,
Downtime, Wetlands and CBGB’s.

In the 2001 - 2002 season Mr. Pritsker's ‘Pascals
Contradiction’ for chorus and percussion quartet was performed
at Merkin concert hall by the Ethos Percussion quartet.

Mr. Pritsker premiered his ‘requiem II’
for solo electric guitar and samplestra at ABC No Rio.

The Argentinean chamber orchestra; Ensemble Rosario,
performed Mr. Pritsker's’ ‘Dead Souls II’ and
the percussion ensemble of Cornell University Department of Music
presented ‘Cancer Ward’ in April 2001.

In the summer of 2002 Mr. Pritsker was the composer-in-residence
at the Lake Winnipesaukee Music Festival where three of his string
quartets with Samplestra were premiered.

The Manhattan Brass Quintet premiered ‘More
enchantments of vanity’.‘Poetic Subjects Eternal II’
for singers, rappers and Samplestra was premiered at the Composers
Concordance series.
